Following God One Step at a Time

Pray!

on September 28, 2014

There is so much happening in the world right now.

There are floods, fires, volcano eruptions, and hurricanes.

There are dangerous viruses spreading like Ebola.

There is fighting in Israel, syria, Iraq, and terrorism is rampant.

Then there is your own family —

money problems, health issues … you name it.

It is overwhelming!

I know that I feel overwhelmed.

It seems like God is overwhelmed by it all too, but

I must remember that God is greater than any problem.

—> We need to pray and give all the problems to God.

There is evil in this world,

but there is only light and love in heaven.

Remember that the One who is in you (God) is greater than the one who is in the world (evil). (1 John 4:4)

I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. (Mark 11:24).
So please pray with me,

Oh Lord, we need you now.  Our world is crumbling all around us.

We know that you have the power and authority to make it all right.

We know that you love us, and want us to be well.

Please help the children in the world that are being persecuted.  Stop their pursuers.

Please bring peace to Israel.

Please protect the missionaries in Syria and Iraq.

Please help our families rise above their problems.

Show us how little these problems are in the hands of our God.

With one hand you can scatter the terrorists.

With one word you can calm the weather.

Thank you God for many blessings each day.

Help us have gratitude in our hearts, instead of grumbling with our mouths.

You God are our only hope.  You are the only hope of this world.

Open the eyes of all peoples so they will see you and believe.

We come to you in Jesus’ name,

Amen.
