“This is the day that the Lord has made: let us rejoice and be glad in it.” -Psalm 118:24
Today, I am taking time to ponder some Bible verses. I have always liked this verse as a song,
and I sing it many mornings when I need to put a smile on my face.
The Jews also sing this verse, but they sing the whole Psalm 118.
There is speculation in some commentaries that Jesus would have sung this entire Psalm including the above verse,
on the early morning of his crucifixion. Only Jesus could sing on the day of His own crucifixion.
Of course, He knew it was the only way to redeem us, and it was God the Father’s will.
God has chosen to give each of us today, another day of life.
Let’s celebrate with a song.
(It took me awhile to find a good version of it. I hope you like it.)
It should make you smile. Sing along, and remember that
God makes this day for millions of people all over the world,
and we can all rejoice in it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cutre5mpyrE
